Hi, I’m Lauren
My gardening journey began over a decade ago with a little 2x5-foot raised bed my husband built to grow tomatoes in our Reisterstown, Maryland home. What started as a simple experiment quickly turned into a deep passion. Each season brought new lessons, successes, and surprises, and over the years, that tiny plot grew into a bigger garden in Westminster, Maryland and a new way of life. As my knowledge and love for gardening expanded, so did my desire to share it with others. I believe everyone—no matter their space, experience, or schedule—can enjoy the benefits of growing their own food.
For me, gardening is more than just planting and harvesting—it’s a way to stay grounded. Grounded in nature, grounded in daily rhythms, and grounded in what truly matters. It’s therapeutic, calming, and a powerful way to reconnect with the world around us. Whether it’s the quiet of early morning watering or the satisfaction of a meal made from your own harvest, gardening offers a kind of peace and presence that’s hard to find elsewhere. Through Grounded Gardens, I hope to help others experience that same sense of connection, fulfillment, and abundance right in their own backyards.
